RETURN OF THE ROB BLOG
I'm baaack! Miss me?

Oh, children, there was so much I wanted to blog about over the past six weeks. Thanksgiving in Rochester, my birthday in New York, Billy Hufsey's birthday in wherever Bill Hufsey lives, Christmas in Colorado... misadventures with the manuscipt for my third book, which is not writing itself, which makes it a very bad manuscript, since my editor is expecting it in two weeks... a couple of mysterious trips to Philadelphia, which we will not be discussing here, except to note that I will apparently be living in New York long into the future...

There were ridiculous news stories and ironic headlines, some of which involved me... funny anecdotes and tales of courageous heroism, none of which involved me... hangovers and, uh, more hangovers, all of which involved me...

Yes, we all missed a lot. But now I'm back, and I promise to never do this to you again.

To those who have e-mailed, phoned, and flown to New York to beg for my return, I thank you. To those who de-linked me... fuck you I forgive you.

Now, as we prepare to enter a new year, it is a time for new beginnings. And so TRL: The Rob Log begins anew. Here are just a few things the TRL-reading world can look forward to in 2006:

* Brilliant political commentary!
* Insightful social observations!
* Side-splitting humor!
* Nekkidness!

I mean, you won't get any of that, but you can look forward to it. Mostly you'll just get stuff like this: DIY Fargo. You know, the usual juvenile, puerile, don't-laugh-you'll-just-encourage-him blog entries that seven or eight daily readers have come to love expect.

But enough of all this. Now it's time for you to leave many comments welcoming me back to the blogosphere, or blogsylvania, or whatever the hell you kids are calling it these days.

Oh, by the way, belated thanks to Jase for my 'On Hiatus' design. I totally recommend him if you're planning to disappear for a while.

That is all.
